This is Episode #37, which aired on week 37, June 10th, 1961. Rebo's Balloon Shop, the beginning of what will become a series of "Rebo" theme shows. (Previously there is an episode called, "Rebo's Photo Studio.") It's also a one cartoon show with LOTS of magic.

The Kids in the opening scream with all their might, "Kellogg's"... the magic word. Another happy group of children that actually got to watch the show live and in-person. Did you ever go see the show being taped? Let me know!

Allakazam Episode #37, Rebo's Balloon Shop

"What's the Magic Word Kids?... KELLOGG'S!"
Mark's manipulation skills are well demonstrated in his presentation of the Billiard Balls. He does his own routine with what he calls "Golf Balls". Nani comes to assist, carrying a Top Hat, that Mark uses to discard the balls into. As a finale, the individual balls vanish... as Mark reveals a single large ball, and an empty hat.
I might be a little bias, but I think Nani looks so charming and endearing as she focuses her attention on the "magic" of the moment.

Mark's Multiplying Billiard Balls
Have fun watching this routine, and think how you can modify your own magic to create new presentations, with surprise endings!

Mark's Billiard Balls transform into a giant ball!
Next the team present "Coin in Ball of Wool", and by team, as you watch it, you may deduce that each person on camera plays an important role in accomplishing this clever magical effect. The kids have no idea how!

Unrolling the Ball of Wool, the magic in their hands!
Just before the next commercial, Mark goes into the audience for his traditional audience participation segment. And as we should now expect, he does magic that relates to the theme of the show... Balloons! Watch it to see what he does.

How cute and well dressed these kids are!
The big feature section, Rebo's Balloon Shop, is a collection of balloon art, some twisted by Rebo on camera, and a cute dancing doll of balloons that becomes Nani in the "big trick" for the segment. But what is most interesting to me, is that the art in the background still exists! I found it a long time ago, but had never made the connection to this episode. As a matter of fact, I actually hung the art in my bedroom when I was a kid. Mom had it framed for me. Just imagine how surprised I was when I watched this episode.

Art highlighted in the Balloon Shop Set!
One more Balloon trick to end the show, and I think Mike liked it a lot! It's performed twice in the Episode, once to intro the Cartoon, and then to close out the show. Of course, because it's the ballon magic show!
Time to be RE-ENCHANTED!
