This letter from A.J. Finley, the assistant to the Advertising Manager, is a very nice "Thank You" note for the TeleMatic gift.  But the rest of the letter is so interesting and insightful... especially the last comment about Nani and the ladies on the show.

As we go through the Fan Mail and Biz Correspondences it will be interesting to find more comments about the "tights" and costume choices.

I wonder if Mom and Dad got to meet these executives?  I'll have to ask them.

If someone can find photos of these executives, that would be fun to include with the letters.  I did a brief google search, but could not turn up anything.  There must be archives somewhere with the corporate executives and their staff photos.  If you have an idea, or can find them, please let me know!  We need the help and support of all the Allaka-Fans out there to make this a complete resource.  Thanks again for being part of the Allakazam Archives.

WOW!  What an amazing letter.  This is an excellent example of Mark Wilson's selling style.  He finds those elements that the client sees are important, and emphasizes how Mark's magical product, in this case the series, amplify and maximize the "advertising potential."  You can easily see his lifetime of experience with sales, beginning with his entreprenure father and grandfather!

If no one else has transcribed this letter yet, maybe it would be fun for you to do.  I and the other volunteers at the Allakazam Archives rely on the generousity of all of the Allaka-Fans to make this project a success.  If you don't have the time right now, we understand and we are happy that you are here looking through all this wonderful content.  Enjoy and explore!

As always, if you have any thoughts, comments, or personal stories, please send them to us.  You can easily make a comment below, or email us.  The Treasure Store will also have new items from time to time, as we discover them.  So be sure to check there whenever you visit.

Boy oh boy, this must have been a rough show for Mr. Welch to have apologized like that.  I wonder if anyone remembers what happened.  Do you know anyone that was in that audience?

This is a really cool find!  A "Thank You" letter for Mark and Nani's gift of the TeleMatic to the VP of Kellogg's.  What is a TeleMatic?  It is a phonenumber mechanical index for a fancy desktop.  I'll post a photo of it as soon as I can find one in the collection.

Did you notice the date of the letter?  December 28th.  That means that the boss and staff were working between Christmas and New Years.  No vacation.  That was a different era of executives back in the 60's.

I just found another letter that has Mr. Olmstead's first name, "Ralph".  Slowly, step by step we will put this giant puzzle back together.  Ralph P. Olmstead, VP of The Kellogg Company, 1960.  (Notice that they do not use the 's in the corporate name on the letterhead.  In the series the graphics and voiceover anouncer say, "Kellogg's" with the 's.)

Be sure to read the other letter from the Kellogg's Assistant to the Advertising Manager, A.J. Finley.  It's also from the same date, but has some interesting content.  Personally, I like the last thing it says... but I'll let you discover it yourself.

If you want to transcribe this letter for us, please do so in the comments section below.  And if you want to help us in some other way, please visit the Treasure Store, or write to us.  We here at the Allakazam Archives are all volunteers and appreciate anything contributions our Allaka-Fans can make to help keep this project going.
